Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Goodwookie Productions LLC ("Goodwookie," "we," "us") collects through goodwookie.com and the Goodwookie app, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have a question that isn't answered here, email us at info@goodwookie.com.

The Short Version

  • You upload a photo of your pet and, if you choose, the people in it. We use it to create your artwork, and for nothing else.

  • Your photo is sent to Google's Gemini AI service to create the artwork and to run safety checks.

  • If you order, we share your name, shipping address, and contact details with the print partner that makes your order, so they can print and ship it.

  • Payments are handled by our checkout and payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.

  • We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

  • Designs you don't order are deleted automatically after 7 days.

What We Collect

Photos. You upload a photo to create a design. It's stored in our website's media storage while we make your artwork. A photo may include people as well as pets (see "Photos of People" below).

Pet names or short text. The Travel Stamp and Travel Poster styles can include up to 18 characters of text, such as your pet's name.

The artwork we create. Each design is saved in two versions: a print-quality file used only to make your order, and a watermarked preview that you see on screen.

A device identifier. Your browser or the app stores a random ID. It isn't linked to your name. We use it to show your recent designs under Your Designs and to apply the daily design limit. If you clear your browser data or reinstall the app, you get a new ID and your previous designs will no longer appear.

Order information. When you buy, you give us your name, shipping address, email address and, optionally, a phone number, together with what you ordered.

Payment information. Payments are processed by our checkout provider (Wix) and payment providers, including credit and debit card processors, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. They handle your payment details under their own privacy policies. We receive confirmation that you paid, not your full card number.

Website data. Like most websites, goodwookie.com is hosted on Wix and uses cookies and similar technology to run the site, keep your cart, and measure basic site traffic. See the Wix cookie information linked at the bottom of our site for details.

How We Use It

To create your artwork. Your photo and any text you enter are sent to Google's Gemini API, which draws the design.

To keep the service safe. Before any artwork is made, the photo is checked automatically for inappropriate content, to confirm there's an animal in it, and to make sure no one in it appears to be under 13. Text you enter is checked the same way. Finished designs get a further automatic check. Designs that fail are not printed. A design flagged by the check may be reviewed by us before it's printed.

To show you product previews. Your watermarked preview is sent to Printful to create a picture of how it will look on the product.

To make and deliver your order. Your print-quality design, name, shipping address, and contact details are sent to the print partner that makes your order. Design Your Pet orders are made by Printful. Other products in our store are made by Printful or TapStitch.

To run the business. This covers answering your questions, handling returns and problems, preventing abuse (for example, the daily design limit), and keeping the records the law requires.

We do not use your photos or designs for marketing, and we do not use them to train AI models.

Google's terms for its paid API services say that it does not use the content sent to it to improve its products. Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy.

How Long We Keep It

  • Photos that fail the safety check, that appear to include anyone under 13, or that have no animal in them are deleted permanently straight away.

  • Designs you don't order, and the photos they came from, are deleted automatically after 7 days.

  • Designs you order, and your order details, are kept as part of our business and tax records, and so we can deal with reprints or problems with your order.

  • Your Designs shows designs from the last 7 days.

Your Choices and Rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you;

  • correct it;

  • delete your photos, designs, or order information, except for records the law requires us to keep.

To make a request, email info@goodwookie.com. Include your order number if you have one. Designs you haven't ordered aren't linked to your name, so we may ask for the approximate date and style to find them.

Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local privacy law. We will honor them as the law requires.

Photos of People

Photos may include people as well as pets. They are processed, stored, and deleted in exactly the same way as any other photo, as described in this policy.

By default, only the animals are drawn. Anyone else in the photo is left out of the artwork.

If you switch on "Include the people in my photo," the people in the photo are drawn into the artwork alongside your pets. Before you can do this, you confirm that everyone in the photo is 13 or older, fully clothed, and has agreed to be in the design, and that you are the parent or guardian of anyone under 13 in it, or have their permission. We record that you gave this confirmation and when.

We never draw young children. A photo that appears to include anyone under 13 is refused and deleted straight away.

We don't identify anyone. Faces are used only to draw the likeness in your artwork. We don't use them to recognize who someone is, and we don't create face templates or any other biometric data. Photos of well-known public figures are refused.

Please upload only photos you have the right to use. If someone in a design you made asks you to remove it, or asks us directly, we will delete it; email info@goodwookie.com.

Children

The Site and the app are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use the security measures built into our website and service providers. The print-quality files are never sent to your browser or the app; you only ever see the watermarked preview. No online service can be perfectly secure, however.

Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above. If a change is significant, we'll also post a notice on the site.
